Guest Bathroom Makeover in East Asheville
This 80’s bathroom was in dire need of an update. Ample space that wasn’t being utilized in the room allowed for an easy reconfiguration. Adding a separate shower still allowed room for storage on both sides of the room, and adding a wall next to the toilet eliminated full exposure for the user. Replacing the vinyl flooring with porcelain tile, swapping out the builder-grade vanity with a custom vanity, and implementing a neutral color palette make this new bathroom feel much more inviting.
“Shawn Merkel helped me with the renovation of my home by designing a kitchen, master bathroom, guest bathroom, and guest half bathroom. The design she created for my kitchen turned out beautiful by reconfiguring walls, creating a peninsula, adding a pantry, and including lots of cabinets for storage. The colors throughout the kitchen are beautiful shades of gray. Both bathrooms were redesigned to include subway tile showers, beautiful vanities, and cabinets for storage. Shawn is very easy to work with and answered my questions promptly and helped me make design decisions. I would highly recommend her to help with any home designs, big or small.”
