I don’t know about you, but I look forward to my morning coffee. It’s a routine that I practice first thing each day. Nothing happens until I’ve had a chance to ease into the morning with a hot cup of pour over. And although it’s something that I do every day, there is no need for it to be uneventful. One of the things that makes it enjoyable is the ritualistic aspects of making it. I’ve even created a separate area in my kitchen for all of the accoutrements that are necessary for the process. There is no reason that you can’t create a coffee station in your own kitchen. You should try it and see how it elevates your caffeine experience.
Find an empty area on your counter and store all of your coffee related items there.
You can corral everything on a tray or something more creative, like this log stand that I found at Cost Plus World Market.
Or if your feeling crafty, you can make your own tray like this one, by following the directions on Simply Made Fun.
Or how about repurposing an antique cake stand to elevate your coffee add-ons.
If you don’t have room on your counter, transform your existing side board, or add a rolling cart and create a mobile coffee station. It will also come in handy when you are entertaining.
If you are in the design stages of a new build or remodel, consider incorporating your coffee station right into the design.
Espresso, French Press, Pourover; Whatever your method of choice is for brewing, Williams Sonoma can hook you up.
Add some fun accessories, mugs, and art, and voila! I love this sweet mug from Natural Life,
but to be honest, this mug from Blue Sparrow Designs Co. describes me better.
These pretty storage canisters are available from Pier One.
