Although the original design was homey and comfortable, the entry to the house didn’t make much of a statement.
To give the porch more presence and something unexpected, color inspiration was sparked by the day lilies surrounding it. The walls were painted with Tiger eye, by Sherwin Williams, and window trim with Greensleeves, by Behr. Wicker furniture that was too large for the space was replaced with smaller scale furniture, that was found at a local antique market. Toile patterned pillows coordinated to the bright red, found on the chairs and table added a bold contrast of color.
